Kathmandu, June 30: All three chapters of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) in the valley staged a sit-in at the Ministry of Information and Communications for one hour today, demanding payment of the increased amount of the money for the proportionate advertisement. Govinda Chaulagain, Chairman of the FNJ, Kathmandu, said they staged the sit-in as the government failed to provide the 25 per cent increased payment by the end of the current fiscal year. The government increased the payment under this title as demanded by the media this year, Chaulagain said.
The sit-in was staged in the presence of FNJ central members Ishwari Wagle and Ram Hari Silwal. "We also have a programme stage a similar sit-in at the Finance Ministry on Tuesday, said Lekhnath Neupane, Lalitpur Chapter Chairman of the FNJ. He said the FNJ also plans to disrupt the entry of ministers to their respective offices.
