Bhardeu (Lalitpur), July 11: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said a political change without economic prosperity cannot be sustainable.


Speaking at the village-level political ideology training organized by the UCPN (Maoist) Bhardeu Village Committee here today, he said the country could become self-reliant if people involved in politics also contribute to economic production.

He also suggested adopting scientific farming and institutionalizing it through cooperatives to make the country self-reliant.

On a different note, Chairman Dahal said the new constitution would be promulgated by January 22 and the country would thereby take the path towards economic progress. RSS
