Dhangadhi, July 9: Community Mediation Centre Naryanpur (Kailali) has been successful in settling 35 cases of family and personal disputes since its establishment last October. The centre arranges for mutual discussions between respective sides involved in disputes to seek a solution to problems, according to centre chairman Arjun Nepali.
A total of 46 cases of disputes related to property sharing and domestic violence, among others, have been registered at the centre in the past nine months, he said. We have been successful in settling even the longstanding disputes (since 35 years) related to land and path, he said. The centre services are free. The centre has been somehow a supportive in conflict management, he added.
