CPN-UML Chairperson Jhalanath Khanal has already made his public statement that he was ready to take up the responsibility for next term for the sake of consensus while contenders Madhav Kumar Nepal and KP Sharma Oli have indicated to go back from the race.
At a press conference organized by the party here today, leader Oli said the general convention would be a milestone to bring about change not in the party in particular but also in the entire nation. He added the conclave would consolidate the party that could muster strength in course of framing a new constitution.
Ultimately, the main posts of the party would be nominated unopposed despite dissemination of wrong message, he further said.
