Kathmandu, July 3: The government has announced the national and regional talent awards to various 24 personalities for this year.
The awards are provided on four categories namely culture, music and drama, fine arts, and language and literature. The awards are conferred to a
person from each category in the national and regional level. According to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, a total of 24 personalities – four with the national and 20 with the regional -are getting the awards.
An evaluation and recommendation committee recommended the names for the awards. Those getting the national talent awards carry the purse of Rs 100,000 and felicitation letter each while those getting the regional talent award get Rs 50,000 and a felicitation letter each.
Those getting the national talent awards are- Professor Dr Shreeram Prasad Upadhyay (Siraha) on culture, Ashesh Malla (Dhankuta) on music and drama, Gehendraman Singh Amatya (Kathmandu) on fine arts, and Professor Dr Kapil Dev Lamichhane (Rupandehi) on language and literature.
