A meeting of the Council of the Ministers, today decided to bear all the cost for rescuing the Nepalese who are stranded in Iraq due to the ongoing strife there and has sent a team led by Joint Secretary Arjun Prasad Mailnali of the Foreign Ministry for this purpose, said Minendra Prasad Rijal, Minister for Information and Communications and spokesman of the government.
Similarly, the government has decided to exempt the arrears of public welfare advertisement provided by the government to the newspapers.
Todays meeting of the Council of Ministers has decided to take grants of Rs 940 million from the United Nations Habitat Programme for Sustainable Urbanization Development and to accept an assistance of six billion rupees from the World Bank for drinking water project, Minister Rijal added.
The meeting has decided to form a committee to take Rs 2.5 billion from the International Fund for the agricultural development in the country.
