Pokhara, July 21: Journalist Nabaraj Subedi is to be awarded with this year’s Balkrishna Ugratara memorial Journalism Award. Subedi is publisher and editor of Fewa Post Weekly, published from Pokhara. The award carries a purse of Rs 10,000 and letter of appreciation. The award was operated by Pokhara Express Fortnightly Magazine and established by family members of late Balkrishna Ugratara.

The award is presented to a person every year for his/her significant contribution in the development of journalism being active in western region at least 15 years. The award will be presented to Subedi on the occasion of death anniversary of late Balkrishna Ugratara on August 4, it is learnt. A revolving fund of Rs 111,111 was established for the award.
