A standing committee meeting of the UCPN (Maoist) formed the departments aiming at consolidating the activities of both inside and outside the party.
UCPN (Maoist) Treasurer Haribol Gajurel said that Narayan Kaji Shrestha has been given the responsibility of constitution drafting and recommendation committee besides making him chief of the International Bureau.
The departments were formed to show the party’s presence and systematize the jobs in the respective fields.
Barshaman Pun is made the chief of planning and finance department while Janardan Sharma would lead the state affairs and security department.
Surendra Karki as the chief of general administration, Agni Prasad Sapkota of education, Lilamani Pokhrel of water resources and energy, Girirajmani Pokhrel of health and population, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi of physical infrastructure and transport management and Lokendra Bistamagar as the chief of department of tourism and civil aviation.
Likewise, Haribol Gajurel has been made the chief of agriculture and land reforms department and Ram Chandra Jha of federal affairs and local development and Santu Darai of social justice, Pravu Saha of law and justice department, according to the party.
Similarly, Chakrapani Khanal of youth and sports, Lekhraj Bhatta of labour and employment, Kalpana Dhamala of science, technology and environment, Dinanath Sharma of information and technology, Satya Pahadi of NGOs, Mahendra Paswan of industry, commerce and supplies, Bishwabhakta Dulal of Dalit, literature and culture, Hisila Yami of women, Dhaniram Poudel of forest and soil conservation, Hitraj Pandey of martyr, disappeared and injured and Gopal Kiranti of national liberation front.
Furthermore, Posta Bahadur Bogati has been made the chief of central organizational and monitoring department and Krishna Bahadur Mahara of publicity department.
The UCPN (Maoist) said that Haribol Gajurel is made the chief of central finance department and Shakti Bahadur as chief of production, construction and cooperative department. The next meeting of the standing committee shall hold
