Damak (Jhapa), July 8: The District Administration Office, Jhapa and Disaster Rescue Committee are in high alert considering the possible loss caused by flash floods, landslide and heavy rainfall in the rainy season. A huge loss occurs every year in the district due to lack of timely awareness and rescue in the natural disaster therefore authority concerned are remain in high alert this year, DAO sources said. As per the preparations, rescue equipments, food grains, first aid and tents have been managed aimed at reaching them on time to the victim.
A meeting held among the authorities concerned recently made preparations for constructing embankment on the banks of risky rivulets in the district, said Chief District Officer (CDO) Ek Mani Nepal. | |
