Not only, Bhandari and Kandel, hundreds of women in the district have been suffering from the same problem due to various problems including hesitation and illiteracy. The Regional Health Directorate, Surkhet, organised the health camp at Tulasipur targeting the women forced to live with the problem since long due to financial crunch. As many as 600 women had their uterus tested in the camp organised at Rapti Zonal Hospital, Tulasipur, from June 30-July 6. Dr Najama Ansari said that of the women, 29 underwent surgery. Similarly, 100 women having serious uterus problem have been referred to Nepalgunj for further treatment, she added. Women from Salyan and Rukum districts also visited the camp. A total of 10 health workers of Regional health Directorate, Surkhet, and Nepalgunj Medical College provided the service in the camp.
