Kathmandu, July 15: CPN (UML) senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has congratulated party Parliamentary leader KP Sharma Oli on his election to the post of party new Chairman. The ninth National Congress of the party has elected party Parliamentary leader Oli as the new party chair.


He wished the new leadership a successful tenure. Leader Nepal who was also the candidate for the party chairman was lost to Oli.


Issuing a press statement after the announcement of final vote count results, leader Nepal said removal of weakness seen in course of practicing democratic rights would help further strengthen the party and take it into unity.

He also thanked and congratulated all Congress representatives who took part in the voting for the selection of party new leadership.  He extended gratitude to his supporters, well wishers and those who voted for him and his panel in the election for a new leadership in the party. RSS
