The delegation led by President of Nepal Physics Society Prof Dr Jeevan Jyoti Nakarmi had ready the Office of the President to receive blessings from the President.
On the occasion, President Yadav wished the delegation success in enhancing the pride of Nepal in the international tournament.
Outgoing Chair of the Society Prof Dr Shekhar Gurung said the participating countries share on their latest research in the development of physics and take pace in academic competitions.
Some 700 students from 88 countries including Nepal are reaching Astana to partake in the contest scheduled on July 13-21.
Five students below 20 years of age are selected to take part in the event held every year. This is Nepals seventh participation in the global event.
The students taking part this year representing Nepal are Rajesh Sharma, Prashant Shrestha, Bipin Lekhak, Bidhan Pandey and Gyanendra Kumar Shaha. They are accompanied by teachers Indra Bahadur Karki and Bablukant Thakur. The Nepali delegation is leaving for Astana on Friday. RSS
